The person who was attacked was working as a driver for a thero in Aranya Senasana, and yesterday (22nd) when some others who were in the temple were coming back to the temple from Vadamma for an examination, there was an argument when the lorry was asked to move the lorry for a while due to the crossing of the road.

Then he took the vehicle to the temple and before stopping the vehicle, about eight people came and attacked him and a person who is said to be Mr. Liyan in the temple with several weapons, manna, iron rod, knife, shovel etc.

He then put a knife to his neck and threatened to kill him and he has filed a complaint with the Anuradhapura headquarters police in this regard.

Our reporter mentioned that he is currently being treated in the hospital due to several attacks on his hand and shoulder area and bleeding from an eye.
