Union Assurance, Sri Lanka’s longest-standing private life insurer, held its Agency Distribution Annual Awards 2024 at Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams. The event served as both a recognition of achievements and an inspiration for continued excellence, as Union Assurance continues to empower its agency force to lead the way in transforming the Life Insurance landscape in Sri Lanka. The ceremony was graced by the Chairperson of John Keells Holdings, Mr. Krishan Balendra along with the senior leadership of Union Assurance and over 450 winning advisers across the island.
Union Assurance provided exclusive rewards to top-performing advisers, including cash prizes, luxury domestic getaways, international tours and high-end vehicles. The Company’s commitment to offering exclusive and unmatched incentives in the sector reflects its dedication to nurturing a high-performing, motivated and customer-focused agency force.
David Baskaran Thinesh from Vavuniya 2 Region emerged as the ‘Ultimate Champion’ while Chanaka Appuhamy from Chilaw 1 Region bagged the ‘National New Business Champion’ award. In addition, Ward Place Region arose as the winner of the ‘Best Region – Large Category’ and Nittambuwa Region was recognised as the winner of the ‘Best Region – Medium Category’ while Mannar Region emerged as the winner of the ‘Best Region – Small Category’. Colombo Central 1 Zone became the winner of the ‘Best Zone – Large Category’ while Northern 01 was recognised as the ‘Best Zone – Small to Medium category’. In addition, Province 1 became the ‘Best Province’.
