Seylan Bank and National Chamber of Exporters Renew Strategic Partnership for the 4th Consecutive Year
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Seylan Bank PLC has renewed its strategic partnership with the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) for the fourth consecutive year. The agreement was signed at Seylan Bank’s Head Office in Colombo, in the presence of senior representatives from both organizations.

Through this continuing collaboration, Seylan Bank will extend tailored financial solutions to NCE member exporters, supporting businesses currently entering global markets as well as those aiming to expand their existing international reach. The partnership is designed to strengthen export activities, generate increased foreign exchange earnings, and contribute to Sri Lanka’s overall economic resilience.

Commenting on the partnership, Ramesh Jayasekara, Chief Executive Officer, Seylan Bank PLC, said, “We are committed to empowering the export sector, particularly SMEs, which form the backbone of our economy. Our long-standing collaboration with the NCE reflects our commitment in providing exporters with the financial tools and guidance needed to succeed in overseas markets, while contributing to national economy.”

Shiham Marikar, Secretary General / Chief Executive Officer, National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka, added, “The NCE has always strived to create opportunities and build stronger platforms for our member exporters. Renewing our partnership with Seylan Bank ensures that our members have continued access to specialized financial services, industry expertise, and collaborative programs that amplify their ability to compete globally.”

Meanwhile, Indhra Kaushal Rajapaksa, President of the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka, stated, “This renewed collaboration with Seylan Bank comes at a crucial time for our exporters, who continue to face evolving global challenges. By strengthening access to tailor-made financial solutions, we are not only empowering exporters to expand into new markets but also reinforcing the Chamber’s mission to make Sri Lanka a stronger, more resilient export economy. Partnerships such as this are vital to ensure long-term sustainability and competitiveness in the global arena.”

As the exclusive Chamber representing exporters, the NCE will continue to facilitate a platform for stronger engagement between its members and Seylan Bank. Member exporters will also benefit from the Bank’s active involvement in the Chamber’s key initiatives, including the prestigious NCE Annual Export Awards, the flagship event that celebrates excellence in the sector.

Beyond financial services, this alliance aims to build capacity within the export community by encouraging knowledge sharing, innovation, and resilience. By supporting exporters with resources and expertise, the partnership contributes to creating sustainable growth opportunities that uplift SMEs and ensure Sri Lanka remains competitive in global trade.

This renewed partnership underscores the shared commitment of Seylan Bank and the NCE to drive growth in Sri Lanka’s export sector by empowering exporters, strengthening financial support, and creating avenues for sustainable foreign income generation.
