In a rapidly evolving global trade landscape, where agility, speed, and integration define success, Scanwell Logistics continues to set industry benchmarks as a leading logistics provider. This year, a significant milestone marks its legacy, where Scanwell Colombo has been selected to host the company’s prestigious Global Conference for the first time in Sri Lanka, solidifying its position as a regional powerhouse within the international logistics network.

Scanwell Logistics, founded in 1981 in Hong Kong, has grown into a global logistics leader with a network spanning over 70 offices across Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East. In 1989 Scanwell launched it’s Colombo operations under the guidance of Mr.Andy Anderson, along with Mr.Nemantha Hatharasinghe and Mr.Giovanni Gunathilleke, and since then have played a transformative role in expanding the company’s footprint in South Asia and beyond.

From its strategic base in Colombo, Scanwell now manages operations across Bangladesh, India, Dubai, and East Africa, functioning as a vital control center for cross-border trade in the region.

Guided by the leadership of Managing Director Mr. Andy Anderson, with strong support from Executive Directors Mr. Priyan Seilman and Mr. Razmal Assen, and Vice Presidents Mr. Harry Joachim, Mrs. Aindreenie Ramuthugala, and Mr. Yajeewa Witharanage, Scanwell Colombo has emerged as a high-performing hub within the global Scanwell network, driving consistent success across key markets and enhancing the group’s operational resilience, positioning Colombo as a model of efficiency, leadership, and innovation.

With branch offices in the Biyagama and Avissawella Free Trade Zones, along with a fully operational 24/7 facility at the Katunayake Air Cargo Village, and with end-to-end 3PL services, and a pioneering bonded warehousing facility, Scanwell Colombo has set itself apart as a logistics leader with a purpose. Whether it’s through their Bridge2Peace

initiative, providing free early childhood education and essential school supplies to children in underserved communities such as Lunugamvehera and Diyatalawa, and its ocean conservation partnership with Sri Lanka’s Sub Aqua Club, Scanwell Logistics exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to sustainability and corporate social responsibility, redefining the role of a modern logistics provider.

Recognizing Colombo’s outstanding contribution to the group’s sustained growth and strategic direction, Scanwell Logistics will host its Annual Global Conference 2025 at Cinnamon Life, Colombo, on June 3rd and 4th this year. The event will welcome Scanwell representatives from across the world for two days of strategic discussions, innovation showcases, and collaborative planning.

This marks the first time Sri Lanka will serve as the host country for this landmark event, symbolizing the trust placed in Scanwell Colombo’s capabilities and the country’s growing relevance as a logistics and trade hub.

The 2025 Global Conference will be a strategic platform designed to ignite and unveil ideas that will drive the next era of logistics, serving as a launchpad for redefining operational excellence, embracing digital transformation, and setting a renewed course for sustainable growth in the evolving global logistics landscape.
