People’s Bank celebrated International Youth Day by introducing special state-of-the-art benefits to the YES Digital Savings Account.
Sharing his thoughts in this regard, People’s Bank Deputy General Manager (Retail Banking) T.M.W. Chandrakumara stated:
“People’s Bank was founded in 1961 to bring banking services closer to the general public. From inception, the bank was able to successfully deliver branded accounts that perfectly suited customers not only of different age groups but also those engaged in different fields, thereby bringing modern banking services closer to them. Back in 2003, to celebrate International Youth Day, People’s Bank launched the YES account for the benefit of Sri Lanka’s youth.
Ever since Sri Lankan youth seeking to achieve their life goals through savings have come to understand that the People’s Bank YES account is one of the best tools that can help them realize their dreams. Therefore, as we mark International Youth Day 2024, we are once again ready to deliver a host of benefits for the youth to help them achieve their dreams and aspirations.
Every customer using the YES Digital Account for savings purposes is given an attractive interest rate while through the bank’s state-of-the-art digital banking services, they can conduct their banking conveniently at any time of the day, from any location. Additionally, when purchasing goods from selected outlets they can obtain a personal loan without a guarantor for up to Rs.500,000/-.
Along with YES Digital Savings Account, to assist the youth in planning their financial future methodically, People’s Bank has introduced the YES Executive Premier investment plan. Based on the amount one expects to save at the end of the year, these investment plans with values of Rs.50,000, Rs.100,000, Rs.250,000, Rs.500,000 and Rs.1,000,000 provide attractive interest rates. Monthly investments can be made by placing a standing order to reach the desired savings goal.
YES Digital Account also offers a branded debit card and till 31st December 2024, and account holders can get a People’s Credit Card without having to pay the joining fee or the annual fee.
