People’s Bank has been honoured at the Great HR Awards 2025, receiving the prestigious title of “Best Talent Acquisition Organization of the Year 2025.” The event, organized by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) in collaboration with Mercer, was held recently at The Lumina, Cinnamon Life, Colombo.

This recognition highlights the Bank’s continued leadership in recruitment excellence, employer branding, and innovative talent acquisition strategies. Competing alongside many reputed banks and leading corporates nationwide, People’s Bank once again demonstrated its commitment to building a future-ready workforce and fostering a progressive workplace culture.

Established in 1961, People’s Bank has evolved into one of Sri Lanka’s leading financial institutions, with assets exceeding Rs. 3.7 trillion, a network of over 750 branches, more than 8,000 employees, and a customer base of 15.2 million – the largest of any commercial bank in the country.

The Great HR Awards 2025 celebrates organizations that elevate the standards of people management and workplace culture, recognizing forward-thinking institutions that convert vision into value through impactful HR practices.
