People’s Bank celebrated its 63rd Anniversary, which fell on 1stof July, with a series of religious programs. Organized by the bank’s Buddhist Association, Hindu Association, Muslim Majlis and the Christian Guild, the religious observances were held at People’s Bank Head Office premises amidst a large gathering of bank employees.
Accordingly, People’s Bank’s Buddhist Association organized a Pirith Ceremony. Hindu Association, Muslim Majlis and the Christian Guild of People’s Bank also conducted respective religious observances on the 1st of July.
The religious programs were organized with the aim to invoke blessings to the country, staffmembers and customers as well as the founders of People’s Bank. People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse and Chief Executive Officer / General Manager Clive Fonseka, Corporate and Executive Management of the bank, the present and past staff members graced the occasion.
