People’s Bank officially handed over a newly-built home to a low-income family in Padaviya, Weli Oya as part of its ‘Mahajana Mehewara’ social responsibility programme.
Funded by the People’s Bank Buddhist Society, together with staff members of the Anuradhapura Regional Head Office and branches in the region, Sri Lanka Army’s 9th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment provided the construction manpower for the home.
The event was attended by People’s Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka, Sri Lanka Army 9th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment Second-in-Command Sujith Karunanayake, Deputy General Manager-Banking Support Services Nipunika Wijayaratne, Head of Marketing Nalaka Wijayawardana, Deputy General Manager-Channel Management Naleen Pathiranage, Anuradhapura Regional Manager Asitha Danawalawithana, Assistant Regional Managers, Padaviya Branch Manager, Buddhist Society members as well as a large number of the bank’s staff members participated in the programme.
