People’s Bank, under its ‘Mahajana Mehewara’ CSR programme, recently donated two security posts built to enhance the safety of devotees visiting Anuradhapura’s Sacred Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi premises. The bank also donated three scanners which will be housed within the security points.
People’s Bank provided financial support for the construction of these security posts while labour contribution was made by the Sri Lanka Army.
The inauguration event was held under the patronage of Atamasthanadhipathi and Chief Sanghanayake of Nuwara Kalaviya Most Venerable PallegamaHemarathana Thero. The event was graced by People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager Clive Fonseka, Anuradhapura District Secretary Janaka Jayasundara, as well as the bank’s corporate and executive management and staff members.
