Nestlé Lanka was recognized at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2025, taking home seven awards in several categories including, the Triple Bottom Line Award for Social Sustainability – People, Category Award for Environment Beyond Business, Category Award for Employee Relations, Category Award for Customer Relations, and three awards in Environmental Commitment, Environmental integration and Employee Relations for the consistent commitment and continuous improvement of initiatives throughout the past three years.

“We are humbled to be recognized at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards 2025. At Nestlé, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do, and it is an honour to be able to share our progress on a platform of this stature and be inspired by how Sri Lanka is moving forward in the realm of sustainability. This recognition inspires us to continue our journey of doing good together, creating a more sustainable and resilient Sri Lanka with our stakeholders across the value chain. Staying true to our promise of ‘Good food, Good life,’ we will keep striving to be a force for good in Sri Lanka for generations to come” said Mr. Bernie Stefan, Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé Lanka.

As a company which has sustainability integrated into all aspects of business, Nestlé conducts various noteworthy initiatives together with its stakeholders to do good for individuals and families, communities, and the planet. The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability (BCCS) Awards – Sri Lanka’s most prestigious corporate accolade organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce – honours organizations that champion sustainability with a strong focus on people, planet, and profit. Held annually, the awards celebrate outstanding contributions to the local economy, community, and corporate sustainability.

Driven by its purpose of ‘unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come’, Nestlé has nourished generations of Sri Lankan families with high quality food and beverages from early childhood to old age. Having started its operations in Sri Lanka in 1906, today, Nestlé has become an integral part of Sri Lankan lives and contributes to the livelihoods of more than 15,000 Sri Lankan dairy and coconut farmers and out growers and provides direct employment to over 700. The company manufactures over 90% of its products sold in Sri Lanka locally at their state-of-the-art factory in Kurunegala, employing strict safety and quality controls.
