National Development Bank PLC recently conducted its Investor and Analysts Earnings Call on August 20, 2024, following the release of its financial results for the first half of the financial year ended 30 June 2024.

Led by Mr. Kelum Edirisinghe, the Director and Chief Executive Officer of NDB Bank, along with the bank’s senior management team, the virtual event was held via Zoom. It featured a detailed presentation by the CEO on the performance of H1 2024, followed by an interactive Q&A session aimed at addressing participants’ queries and concerns.

This highly anticipated event, managed seamlessly by NDB’s Investor Relations Team, attracted a diverse audience, including research analysts, stockbrokers, and fund managers. NDB has been consistently organising these quarterly webinars since 2014, showcasing its commitment to transparency and accountability in investor communications. Transcripts and playback videos of the calls are readily available on the bank’s website for easy reference.

The Investor and Analysts Earnings Call provided valuable insights into NDB’s financial performance, strategic initiatives, and prospects, fostering transparency and trust among investors and the broader financial community. The CEO among other things commented on the bank’s way forward with solid focus on three key strategic imperatives, viz. optimising cost of funds, enhancing fee based income through transaction banking and enhancing portfolio quality.

NDB Bank is the fourth-largest listed commercial bank in Sri Lanka. NDB was named Sri Lanka’s Best Bank for Corporates at Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2024 and was awarded Domestic Retail Bank of the Year – Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Domestic Project Finance Bank of the Year by Asian Banking and Finance Magazine (Singapore) Awards 2024.
