NCINGA Showcases Agentic AI Future and Gemini Enterprise to Leading Sri Lankan Corporate Entities

NCINGA, in collaboration with Google Cloud, showcased the potential of Agentic AI to Sri Lanka’s business leaders at an exclusive event, “The Agent Advantage.” The event brought together over 60 select C-suite and technology leaders from the country’s leading BFSI, telecommunications, and manufacturing corporate entities at the Courtyard by Marriott Colombo. Experts from both companies demonstrated how human-AI collaboration is superseding legacy automation and establishing Agentic AI is an imperative for gaining a competitive edge. The event also served as the launch platform for Google’s Gemini Enterprise (previously known as Google Agentspace), featuring a live demonstration of its capabilities.

Gemini Enterprise offers organisations a next generation agentic platform that enables them to build AI agents with greater scale, speed, and agility. By using AI agents to automate routine and repetitive manual tasks, organisations gain the flexibility to prioritise job roles and strategies on value-adding work that drives growth. Furthermore, senior leaders and middle management gain access to AI-powered predictive analytics for more informed decision making.

In the event’s keynote address, Steve Dodd, CDO of MAS Holdings, emphasised that Agentic AI is not a futuristic concept, but rather a practical tool indispensable for organisational growth. He counselled that delaying AI adoption would place organisations at a disadvantage, as it negatively impacts problem-solving and productivity by leaving teams mired in low-value, repetitive tasks when their competencies can be better applied. Agentic AI, according to Dodd, functions as a managed digital workforce with organisations empowered to redirect human talent towards innovation. He stated: “Agentic AI supercharges human potential. With AI-powered agents managing low-value tasks, even collaborating among themselves, organisations can become more agile and efficient. The end result is a human workforce that can focus on truly strategic work that requires human input, improving the organisation’s competitive edge.”

Vishwas Srigowtham, Head of Corporate Business for Sri Lanka at Google Cloud, highlighted how Gemini Enterprise is the engine behind Agentic AI adoption in organisations during his address. In addition to discussing the strengths of the product, Vishwas discussed how Gemini Enterprise democratises AI development for both technical and non-technical users. Organisations can build, test, and deploy custom agents quickly with pre-built agents and AI-assisted development using natural language descriptions that require no programming.

Diyon Wickrameratne from Data Science Engineering in NCINGA and Shilpa Machendiran from Customer Engineering in Google Cloud concluded the event with a live demonstration of Gemini Enterprise. Participants experienced firsthand how an agent created live on stage queried information from JIRA and other internal systems, unified all data sources, and eliminated data silos.

Commenting on the event and NCINGA’s product development skills, Harindha Fernando, CEO of NCINGA, stated: “Agentic AI is the competitive baseline for today’s organisations. We’ve already embedded these capabilities across our platforms at NCINGA and client environments. The results that we’ve observed include faster execution of tasks and more informed decision making. With Gemini Enterprise, organisations can deploy AI agents and scale in days, not months. As a technology solutions provider that has guided the Sri Lankan market through the AI evolution, our AI vision is straightforward; we want to accelerate emerging technology adoption and widen its benefits for people, businesses, and communities.”

In addition to Gemini Enterprise, NCINGA’s AI-powered technology solutions stack encompasses the full spectrum of data engineering and data analysis capabilities. These include data lakes and warehouses, databases, data integration, real-time data processing, data visualisation, document intelligence, anomaly detection, and issue resolution.
