Elephant House Disowns Claims of Sponsoring Shakira and Pitbull Concerts

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), the owner of the Elephant House brand, has issued a public statement distancing itself from online promotions for purported concerts by international music stars Shakira and Pitbull in Sri Lanka. The company said it has no involvement in, sponsorship of, or association with the advertised events and described the use of the Elephant House name in related promotional material as unauthorised and misleading. CCS has urged the public and media to rely only on announcements made through its official communication channels and warned that it will take appropriate action against any misuse of its brand identity.

Dear Valued Consumers and Stakeholders,

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC has become aware of promotional material circulating online regarding purported “Shakira Live in Kandy 2026” and “Pitbull Live in Sri Lanka 2026” events, which claim to be presented by Elephant House.

We wish to state that Ceylon Cold Stores PLC and Elephant House are not associated with, involved in, or sponsoring any such events. Any promotional material suggesting that Elephant House is presenting, endorsing, or partnering with these events is unauthorised and misleading.

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC takes the unauthorised use of its brand identity seriously. We urge the public, media, and all stakeholders to refrain from sharing unverified promotional content and to rely on official announcements issued through Ceylon Cold Stores PLC and Elephant House’s verified communication channels, including official social media pages. Any event, sponsorship, partnership, or promotion officially associated with Elephant House will be communicated to the public through these official channels.

We remain committed to protecting the trust placed in our brands and will take appropriate steps to address any misuse of the Elephant House name, logo, or brand assets. At the same time, we remain dedicated to protecting our consumers from scams and misleading activities of this nature.
