Cinnamon Grand Colombo is set to celebrate Vesak in grand style this year with the unveiling of its very first Vesak Thorana (pandol), adding a new highlight to the hotel’s much anticipated festive decorations. Known for creating memorable seasonal displays that guests and visitors eagerly look forward to each year, the hotel will transform its entrance and gardens into a vibrant celebration of light, culture, and spirituality.
The beautifully designed Thorana will be showcased at the hotel entrance for the public to enjoy, while the surrounding gardens will glow with traditional Vesak lanterns and flags, creating a serene and festive atmosphere for families, guests, and passersby alike.
As part of the celebrations, Cinnamon Grand Colombo will also host a special beverage dansala on 30th May from 6.00 pm onwards for visitors and those passing by the hotel during the Vesak season.
Continuing the spiritual celebrations, the hotel will present a Vesak Bhakthi Gee Evening on 31st May from 6.00 pm to 7.00 pm. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in an evening of soulful devotional music and reflection in honour of the teachings of Lord Buddha. The performance will be presented by Unity Singers and the Old Girls of High School, Mount Lavinia, creating a peaceful and uplifting atmosphere for all in attendance.
