Recognises record 214 Million Dollar Round Table qualifiers of 2022, presents two cars to top achievers

Ceylinco Life celebrated its 35th anniversary and 19th year of market leadership with a spectacular annual awards event at which it recognised 259 exceptional performers with generous awards that fittingly rewarded their outstanding contributions to the company’s results in 2022.

Held at the Hilton Colombo, the awards gala and dinner saw the presentation of a total of 350 awards. The highlight of the event, however, was the presentation of company-maintained vehicles to two top achievers Mr R. P. G. De Silva of the Bambalapitiya branch and Mr K. B. A. Thushara of the Kotahena branch.

Ceylinco Life also made history at the event by honouring a record 214 members of its sales force who qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) in 2022, a new achievement for the Company. Moreover, this year’s ‘High Flyer’ award winners were rewarded with accommodation packages at the Hilton Colombo.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr Masayuki Tanaka, the Managing Director of the Foundation for the Advancement of Life & Insurance Around the World (FALIA), as the Chief Guest, adding an extra layer of distinction to the evening’s festivities.

Addressing the event, Ceylinco Life Managing Director and CEO Mr Thushara Ranasinghe said: “Year 2023 is a significant year in our history as we celebrate our 35th anniversary. We have gone through three difficult years, including a global pandemic and more recently the political and economic crisis in Sri Lanka. I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you present here for the contribution and the effort made in transforming our company to be the leading life insurer for 19 consecutive years.”

The top award winners at this year’s annual awards were Best Overall Regional Sales Manager – Mr S. Venukaran of the Batticaloa Region, Best Overall Life Insurance Advisor – Mr. A. I. P. Manjula of the Ambalantota branch, Best Overall Unit Head – Mrs A. R. F. Risna of the Wellawatta branch, and Best Overall Head of Branch – Mr V. Baskaran of the Nelliady branch.

The awards gala was attended by the winners and their families, as well as Ceylinco Life’s corporate leadership team, and concluded in dinner and lively celebrations.

Adjudged Sri Lanka’s ‘Brand of the Year’ and ‘Service Brand of the Year’ by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) and ‘Best Life Insurer in Sri Lanka’ by World Finance for the ninth consecutive year in 2022, Ceylinco Life has been the country’s leading life insurer for more than half of the 35 years it has been in existence. The Company was also ranked the ‘Most Valuable Life Insurance Brand in Sri Lanka’ by Brand Finance and certified a ‘Great Workplace’ in Sri Lanka for the third consecutive year in 2022. Ceylinco Life has close to a million lives covered by active policies and provides innovative life insurance solutions which offer protection while de-risking the goals and ambitions of the Company’s policyholders.
