US President Donald Trump says a “great settlement” has been agreed with Iran and a deal is set to be signed “maybe over the weekend”.

He said the document was in its “pretty final stage” and finalisation was possible in the next “few days”.

The Strait of Hormuz will reopen immediately after the signing, which will take place in Europe with Vice President JD Vance present, he claims.

The president says he has informed Benjamin Netanyahu and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
