Sajith Premadasa Pays Tribute to War Heroes at Battaramulla Memorial

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa said that today we pay tribute to the honorable war heroes of our country who liberated the country from the curse of a brutal terrorist war of 30 years, and that we appreciate the work they have done for the country by sacrificing their lives for the security, unity, harmony, and territorial integrity of the country, and that we pay our respects for that. Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa made these remarks while attending the War Heroes Commemoration held near the Battaramulla War Heroes Memorial today. A group of Members of Parliament from the Samagi Jana Balawegaya also participated in the event, and the Opposition Leader laid a wreath at the Battaramulla War Heroes Memorial.

The Opposition Leader further stated that a sustainable solution must be provided to all those who have become victims of war and terrorism, that there must be no more such wars and terrorism, that a process of reconciliation must take place in the country, and that it is the responsibility of all of us to protect and safeguard unity, territorial integrity, and harmony. He also added that we pay tribute every day to the unique mission carried out by the war heroes.
