The US Embassy in Sri Lanka announced that US Special Representative for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gore, arrived in Sri Lanka today (March 19) for an official visit.
He is scheduled to visit both Sri Lanka and the Maldives from today until March 24.
During his trip, Gore will participate in several high-level discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in the Indian Ocean region.
The embassy stated that, while in Sri Lanka, the Special Representative is scheduled to meet with senior national leaders to reaffirm the importance of the US-Sri Lankan relationship and strengthen collaboration in several key areas.
