Sri Lanka concluded a highly successful week at Ambiente Frankfurt 2026, the world’s leading international trade fair for consumer goods, held at Messe Frankfurt, Germany. Bringing together buyers, suppliers, and industry leaders from over 170 regions worldwide, the combined Ambiente, Christmasworld, and Creativeworld events featured more than 4,600 exhibitors, showcasing the latest trends, innovations, and sustainable solutions, and reaffirming their position as the world’s most influential marketplace for consumer goods.
Sri Lanka was represented by six exhibitors—Dankotuwa Porcelain, Gospel House Handicrafts Limited, AMP Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd, Art Decoration International, Javana Graphics, and Phoenix Industries Limited—who showcased a diverse range of products including home and living goods, handicrafts, stationery, office supplies, and creative crafts, highlighting the country’s strong design capabilities and manufacturing expertise.
Commenting on the participation, Mrs. Eranda Kularathne, Assistant Manager – Exports & New Markets, Phoenix Industries Ltd, stated,

The exhibition attracted strong international buyer interest, with Sri Lankan exhibitors reporting healthy footfall, promising business inquiries, and potential export partnerships. In particular, the Paperworld segment generated increased engagement for companies specializing in stationery and creative products, enabling Sri Lankan brands to access new and emerging global markets. Overall, Sri Lanka’s participation reinforced its manufacturing strengths, commitment to sustainability, and growing export potential, further strengthening its presence on the global consumer goods stage.
