The present government appears to be intent on dismantling what remains of the public service and replacing it with party members and supporters who lack the necessary qualifications and experience.
The Aragalaya emerged because the people of Sri Lanka became fully aware of the dire state to which governance had deteriorated, reflecting a high level of political awareness among citizens.
Sri Lanka continues to suffer the consequences of two decades of poor governance, and the country risks descending into complete chaos if the current system of governance is not changed, former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga stated.
