School development officers have announced that they will hold a massive protest in front of the Presidential Secretariat today (02), escalating the hunger strike they began demanding the integration of teachers into the service.
Yesterday, another development officer, who has been on hunger strike for the seventh day, was hospitalized.
The hunger strike, which started in front of the Presidential Secretariat, calls for the integration of school development officers—who have been performing teaching duties in schools for over six years—into the teacher service. This comes as discussions with the President are scheduled for next Tuesday.
