The Singer Fashion Academy hosted En Vogue 2026, a runway presentation, celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and culture while spotlighting the next generation of Sri Lankan fashion designers. Held for the second time, the event reaffirmed the Academy’s role as a leading institution for fashion education and talent development in Sri Lanka.

Designed as a professional runway experience, En Vogue 2026 provided Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design students with a platform to present their work in a real-world fashion show setting. The show bridged education and industry while showcasing strong individual design identities.

Speaking about the event, Mahesh Wijewardene, Group Managing Director of Singer Sri Lanka said, “Singer’s commitment to education extends beyond training to the creation of structured, industry-aligned platforms that enable young talent to transition confidently into professional careers. En Vogue 2026 demonstrates our continued investment in skills development and the preservation of Sri Lanka’s design heritage, while reinforcing the Academy’s role in developing future-ready professionals for the fashion ecosystem.”

The event showcased collections by 34 Diploma in Fashion Design students across nine distinct themed segments, while seven Advanced Diploma students presented individual collections—marking the Academy’s first-ever solo runway presentations. In addition, sarees and Kandyan sarees designed by 20 students from Singer Fashion Academies across the island were also featured.

Adding to its visual distinction, En Vogue 2026 featured a mirror-effect runway, creating an immersive and visually striking experience that set the show apart from its previous edition.

A key highlight of the event was showcasing creativity, craftsmanship, and culture and this Fashion Show celebrated the talent of tomorrow’s designers and the rich heritage of Sri Lankan fashion. These collections paid tribute to traditional forms while reinterpreting them through contemporary design sensibilities.

Commenting on the event, Terrence Martyn, General Manager – Apparel Solutions and Fashion Academy, said, “En Vogue 2026 is a reflection of our commitment to nurturing well-rounded fashion professionals. By giving students, a professional platform to showcase their creativity and technical skills, we are preparing them to confidently step into the industry while staying rooted in Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.”

The event also highlighted Singer’s continued commitment to education, skills development, and the creative industries in Sri Lanka. With a presence across 52 locations islandwide and an accessible online learning platform, the Singer Fashion Academy offers students nationwide the opportunity to pursue professional fashion education. By providing a professional runway platform to present high-quality, student-designed collections, the Academy continues to support entrepreneurship, creative expression, and the growth of Sri Lanka’s fashion ecosystem.
