At the invitation of the Government of India, SLPP National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa, SLPP Members of Parliament Chitral Fernando, Chamidrini Kiriella, Chathuru Galappatti, and Prasad Siriwardena, along with former SLPP MPs Indika Anuruddha, Sanjeewa Edirimanne, and Sampath Athukorala, and SLPP Politburo member Milinda Rajapaksa, are scheduled to depart for Odisha, India, to participate in the celebrations of Indian Republic Day on January 26.
During the visit, the delegation is also expected to tour the Odisha Disaster Management Center, recognized as one of the world’s leading disaster management facilities. In addition, they are scheduled to visit Buddhist antiquities dating back to the era of King Asoka.
A cordial discussion regarding the visit was held recently at the official residence of the Indian High Commissioner.
