The highest rainfall recorded in Sri Lanka over the past 24 hours has been reported in the Kilinochchi district.
According to the Disaster Management Center, the Pokkanai area in Kilinochchi received 274 mm of rainfall yesterday (29).
Meanwhile, the Portakani area in Mannar recorded 210 mm, and the Madhu area in Mannar received 193 mm of rainfall.
In other parts of the country, the Dunamalai Wattha area in Kegalle reported 181 mm, while the Kirindiwela area in Gampaha received 121 mm of rainfall.
