The Air Force Spokesperson announced that an 80-member Indian rescue team has arrived in Sri Lanka to support ongoing rescue operations amid the prevailing disaster and flood situation.
According to the Air Force, the team consists of 80 personnel, including 76 male soldiers and 4 female soldiers from two Indian rescue battalions. They arrived on the island aboard a special aircraft.
It was further stated that the team has brought four specially trained rescue dogs, 18 boats, generators, and a large stock of equipment required for their operations.
