The Disaster Management Center (DMC) reports that 69 deaths have been recorded as a result of the adverse weather conditions affecting all 25 districts of the island.
According to the DMC, 34 individuals are currently reported missing, while 219,282 people from 61,175 families have been impacted by the severe weather.
The DMC further states that 18,443 people from 5,890 affected families have been relocated to 266 temporary safety centers. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, led by the Disaster Management Center in collaboration with the tri-forces.
