Public Security Minister Ananda Wijepala has stated that seven powerful drug traffickers currently hiding in the Middle East have informed authorities of their readiness to surrender to Sri Lanka.
The Minister made this announcement while participating in the Colombo District Operation Program of the “Whole Country Together” National Operation Program aimed at eradicating narcotics.
Minister Wijepala further noted that these drug traffickers have already disclosed their hideouts in the Middle East and expressed their willingness to return to Sri Lanka and surrender to law enforcement authorities.
