Sampath Bank PLC recently formed a strategic alliance with Sri Lanka’s National Chamber of Exporters (NCE).

The Bank sponsors the prize for ‘Ethical Trading Certification’ as part of this engagement. The Bank was pleased to give the ‘Ethical Trading Certification’ to seven firms that had completed the NCE certification programme as part of fueling Sri Lanka’s export drive at a recent ceremony.

By forming this cooperation with the NCE, the Bank is committing to a long and mutually beneficial working relationship as a method of increasing Sri Lankan exports in the international market.

M. Shiham Marikar, Secretary General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Chamber of Exporters, as well as representatives from the seven winning export businesses and Sampath Bank, attended the ceremony.

This ‘Ethical Trading’ effort, which will be continued soon, involved a total of 30 entities.
