Colombo Fort Magistrate Isuru Netthikumara today (29) issued warrants for the arrest and production of Parliamentarian Jagath Manuwarna, who failed to appear in court in connection with two ongoing cases. Sri Lanka Latest News
The cases in question relate to two legal matters pending before the same court against the suspect, Jagath Manuwarna, dating back to the year 2008.
When the cases were taken up today (29), the MP did not appear before the court. His legal counsel informed the Magistrate that the Parliamentarian was unable to attend as he was participating in the national land distribution program.
After considering the submissions made, the court issued warrants against the suspect.
