The Borella Police report that they have received a complaint regarding the theft of property valued at Rs. 865,000, including an iPad, belonging to a medical student.
According to police sources, the complainant is a medical student residing on Angampitiya Road, Ethul Kotte.
The incident occurred near the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Colombo on the evening of October 25. The student’s car had been parked in front of the Medical Faculty when the theft was carried out by breaking the rear door glass.
Police state that items worth nearly Rs. 900,000, including an Apple iPad, a drone, and a tablet, were stolen from the vehicle.
No arrests have been made so far in connection with the incident, and the Borella Police have launched further investigations.
