Former Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Member of Parliament, Tissakutty Arachchi, today (29) expressed his unconditional regret before the Colombo District Court regarding a statement he previously made about President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The statement of regret was delivered through his legal counsel during proceedings of a case filed by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. The case, currently being heard before the Colombo District Court, seeks Rs. 10 billion in compensation for defamation allegedly caused by Arachchi’s remarks.
