Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara announced that official permission has been granted to inspect the bank accounts of 22 individuals, including veteran actress Ms. Malani Fonseka.
Speaking at a media briefing held in Colombo, MP Jayasekara further stated that Ms. Fonseka was in a serious medical condition at the time.
In light of this, he appealed to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to consider removing her name from the list of individuals under investigation.
