The State Minister of Defense, Hon’ble Pramitha Bandara Thennakoon paid tribute to the nation’s war heroes by laying flowers at the National Heroes’ Memorial at Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte.
After making his first official visit, the Minister visited the ‘Mihindu Seth Madura’ located in Attidiya area.
He also inquired about the well-being of the soldiers residing there and had a friendly conversation with them and presented them with gifts.
‘Mihindu Seth Madura’, which provides shelter to war heroes who were disabled during the conflict with terrorists, is a home that provides continuous care, support and treatment for war heroes who are seriously disabled.
A group of senior military officers including Major General Channa Weerasuriya, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army, attended the visit of the State Minister to Mihindu Seth Madura.
