Standard Chartered recognises outstanding achievements of staff at ‘Hall of Fame: Celebrating Excellence’

Standard Chartered Sri Lanka hosted its prestigious annual awards ceremony, themed ‘Hall of Fame: Celebrating Excellence,’ at the Shangri-La Hotel Colombo on March 22, 2025. The event recognised and celebrated the exceptional performance of its employees in 2024, with a total of 119 individual awards and 5 team awards presented across 46 distinct categories. The night saw the felicitation of 13 employees for their long service at the Bank whilst also recognising the recipients of various SC Group awards as well as external awards throughout 2024.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the most coveted accolade, the ‘CEO Leadership Award,’ which was awarded to Lasitha Wijeratne, Value Centre General Manager Affluent & Head Wealth Management, for his exemplary leadership and contributions in 2024.

Rukshila Seneviratne, Head of Human Resources at Standard Chartered Sri Lanka, said, “At Standard Chartered, recognising and rewarding outstanding performance is integral to our ethos. Celebrating excellence not only inspires ongoing development but also cultivates a motivated and engaged workforce. By acknowledging the exceptional contributions of our team members, we strengthen our organisation and drive innovation forward.”

This grand event underscores Standard Chartered’s unwavering commitment to empowering its employees through recognition and appreciation of their hard work and dedication. The evening was further enlivened with captivating entertainment and concluded with a sumptuous five-course sit-down dinner, making it a memorable celebration of excellence and achievement.
