Assistant Engineering Officers of the Irrigation Department have announced a two-day trade union action, taking sick leave today (17) and tomorrow (18).
According to Mr. Niroshan Silva, President of the Assistant Engineering Officers Association of the Irrigation Department, this action is being carried out in protest against issues in the department’s promotion system, for which they are demanding immediate solutions.
