The Chairman of the Farmers’ Union, Anuradha Tennakoon, has warned that if the government removes the rice price control gazette and allows prices to rise, the union will take decisive action, including staging a raid in Colombo.
He further stated that the decision to set the price of paddy was made by Minister Namal Karunaratne and the JVP office in Pelawatte.
