The government has announced the appointment of a new Government Printer, addressing a position that has often been mired in controversy.
The tenure of the previous Government Printer, G.K.D. Liyanage, has officially concluded. Following this, the Cabinet has approved the appointment of K.G.P. Pushpakumara, a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service. Pushpakumara, who currently serves as an Additional Director General at the National Budget Department, will assume the role of Government Printer.
This decision marks a significant administrative move aimed at ensuring continuity and efficiency in the department.
