Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa Submits Educational Qualifications Amid Scrutiny
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has submitted all his educational qualifications to the Hansard Department of Parliament today.

In a significant gesture, Premadasa personally visited the department to hand over the relevant documents. He also ensured the process was formally acknowledged by obtaining a written confirmation of receipt.

This development comes in the wake of a heated discussion surrounding the academic credentials of former Speaker Ashoka Ranwala, which ultimately led to his resignation. In response, members of the government have recently begun scrutinizing the educational qualifications of opposition members.

Two days ago, Minister Nalinda Jayatissa raised questions about Premadasa’s educational credentials during a parliamentary session.

In response to the challenge posed by Minister Jayatissa, the Opposition Leader promptly submitted his qualifications to Parliament yesterday, demonstrating transparency and accountability.
