Police Media Spokesperson SSP Buddhika Manatunga confirmed that a woman sustained injuries in a shooting incident near the Maligakanda Magistrates’ Court.
The injured individual, a 40-year-old resident of Maligawatta, was accompanying someone who had come to post bail for a suspect involved in a case being heard at the court yesterday (14).
According to police reports, two unidentified individuals carried out the shooting while riding a motorcycle.
CCTV footage related to the incident has now been shared with the media.
