The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has resolved to present a no-confidence motion against Speaker Ashoka Ranwala.
This decision was reportedly made during a meeting of the party’s parliamentary group conducted via Zoom yesterday afternoon.
Furthermore, discussions with other opposition parties on this matter have also been proposed, according to sources.
As part of the initiative, the party has tasked two SJB MPs with drafting the motion.
It is anticipated that the motion will be submitted to Parliament on or before the 17th.
