The resolution on the government’s policy statement received unanimous approval in Parliament today (December 4) without a vote being required.
The debate on the policy statement took place over two days, starting yesterday (December 3) from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and continuing today (December 4) from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake initially presented the government’s policy statement to Parliament on November 21.
