A report has emerged that the pilot involved in the recent cockpit locking incident on a SriLankan Airlines flight from Sydney to Colombo has resigned.
The incident stemmed from a dispute between the chief pilot and the co-pilot, triggered when the co-pilot failed to unlock the cockpit door after returning from the lavatory mid-flight.
While the incident did not affect the flight’s operation, it caused concern among passengers and crew members.
Following the event, SriLankan Airlines initiated an investigation, leading to the suspension of both the pilot and co-pilot.
