The Ministry of Religious and Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Integration, Social Security, and Media, is set to host the ‘Presidential Media Awards 2024’ for the second time. This event aims to recognize and promote the contributions of journalists towards fostering an outstanding media culture in the country. A total of 50 awards will be presented across various categories including newspapers, radio, television, websites, media research, and school media. Additionally, four veterans who have made significant contributions to the media industry will be honored with lifetime achievement awards, bringing the total number of awards to 54.
The awards will consider works published or broadcast between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. All submissions must be independent and ideally forwarded by the heads of media institutions, although independently certified applications are also accepted.
Nominations will be reviewed by sub-committees composed of professionals and subject matter experts appointed by the Ministry. The final selection will be made by a main committee, and their decision will be binding. Entries can be submitted between October 8, 2024, and October 30, 2024. The category and field of the submission should be clearly indicated on the top left corner of the envelope.
