A virtual meeting took place today (11th) between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and Samantha Power, Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), using online technology.
During the discussion, President Dissanayake and Ms. Power exchanged views on several key issues of mutual interest, while also exploring opportunities to enhance future collaboration between Sri Lanka and USAID.
Ms. Power highlighted the alignment between the Sri Lankan government’s policy agenda and the goals of USAID, assuring the President of the agency’s full support for initiatives aimed at improving the welfare of the Sri Lankan people.
Additionally, she emphasized that these efforts would not only accelerate Sri Lanka’s development process but also strengthen cooperation between USAID and Sri Lanka in the long term.
