Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has firmly stated that he will not join the alliance formed by the United National Party.
Rajapaksa shared these remarks with the media following a politburo discussion at the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna party office on the morning of September 24.
He emphasized the importance of planning political activities in light of the upcoming general election and urged his party to take the necessary steps to establish itself as a strong political force.
Additionally, Rajapaksa called for measures to secure a majority of seats in Parliament.
