Pohotutwa has conducted an internal investigation regarding the reports that the President has the support of 92 MPs after the meeting of the ruling party MPs held yesterday at the Presidential Secretariat under the chairmanship of the President. Sri Lanka Latest News
According to the investigation, it has been reported that 80 Deputy Ministers participated in the meeting held yesterday.
Of that number, 58 were MPs from Pohottuwa and the rest of the group were from different parties including Nimal Siripala’s, Douglas Devananda’s, Nimal Lanza’s, and Jeevan Thondaman’s.
Also, it has been reported in the Pohottu investigation that signatures have been collected from Pohottu MPs, but some MPs have refused to sign it.
Some have informed the Pohottu leaders during this investigation that several Pohottu ministers have told the President and left the meeting in the middle.
