A heated situation arose due to a person’s protest at the opening ceremony of the Kandy – Pathahewahta – Talathuoya – Batagalla water scheme. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
The ceremony was held today under the chairmanship of Minister of Water Supply and Estate Infrastructure, Jeevan Thondaman.
Anuradha Jayaratne, Minister of State for Justice and Prison Reforms, was also present.
However, the event took a heated turn when a resident who came to the opening ceremony of the water scheme expressed his protest.
