A few places in Uva Province have been informed that rain or thunder may occur in the evening or at night.
In the western slopes of the central hills, in the northern, north-central and north-western provinces and in the districts of Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala, the wind is blowing at times per km. It is said that strong winds of 40-50 are possible.
The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
