The Department of Meteorology says that due to the development of a turbulent nature in the lower atmosphere near Sri Lanka, an increase in rain is expected across the island. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
After 1.00 pm, rain or thundershowers may occur in most parts of the island.
Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Wayama and Uva provinces and Galle and Matara districts will experience heavy rains of more than 100 mm in some places.
Coastal areas of eastern and southern provinces may experience rain at few places in the morning.
