According to the Government Medical Officers’ Association, telephone calls have started pouring in from various elite sectors since last 01 due to their trade union action to boycott elite ambulance services. (Sri Lanka Latest News)
Dr. Haritha Aluthge, secretary of the association, states that with the arrival of foreign government officials in Sri Lanka and the strong feeling of the need for ambulance services for elites in Sri Lanka, the need for ambulance services has increased.
He said that the executive council of the union has unanimously decided not to give up the trade union action until their demands are met, no matter how many calls they receive from the elite.
